For an adult beginner, this is a dream keyboard. The SW 73 is light enough to transport to a friend's house,

The quality is top drawer and Clavia (the parent company) routinely add free, downloadable instrument sounds. The latest, I think, is 'Power Synthesizers.'

The Nord has a metal enclosure and knobs for controlling many of the parameters. IMHO, much easier than some competitors with a large LCD screen and buttons for menus, sub menus and sub, sub menus, etc.

The stage has sampled instruments plus a built in synthesizer engine, plus an effects section. You're buying everything you need at one time, and the price reflects that.
